National Honor Society

The National Honors Society is the front runner of organizations and societies that promote appropriate recognition for students who reflect outstanding accomplishments in: character, scholarship, leadership, and service.
 
Character—Spiritual: 
The student of character takes criticism willingly, accepts recommendations graciously, and demonstrates the highest standards of honesty and reliability, and shows courtesy,  concern and respect for others.
 
Scholarship—Intellectual: 

Mountain View Academy requires a minimum of 3.7 GPA for membership in the National Honors Society.

Leadership—Social:

The student who exercises leadership is resourceful in proposing new solutions to problems, applying principles, and making suggestions.

Service—Physical:

The student who serves is willing to uphold scholarship and maintain a loyal school attitude, participates in some outside activity (Church group, volunteer services, and family duties) and does committee and staff work uncomplainingly.
