MVA Science Lab Renewal Project  - Update 5/20/2019

We are excited to announce that we have met our goal of raising $70,000 to match the 50-50 Challenge awarded by the Archie Tonge Educational Fund. Thank you to all the individuals that took part in getting the information out to our community. Your prayers, hard work and dedication helped pave the way.

On behalf of the Mountain View Academy Family, we would like to thank all the individuals that contributed to this project. We greatly appreciate your financial contribution to support the renovation of the MVA Science Lab.

Thank you to the Archie Tonge Educational Foundation for giving us the matching contribution award. We feel honored to have been given this opportunity, and we are excited to partner with you in providing quality Christian Education in Silicon Valley.

Lastly, we ask for your continue prayers and support as we begin the next phase of the MVA Science Renovation Project.

Science Lab Renewal

50% of our students utilize the Science Lab at MVA each school year.

50 years have gone by since the lab was built. It has set the stage for many students to pursue careers related to science, including medicine, dentistry, nursing, teaching, and engineering.

Now it needs a renewal. Some parts are worn out or broken. And science, technology and safety standards have changed in fifty years.

Matching Funds Challenge

Thanks to a generous 50-50 challenge from the Archie Tonge Educational Fund, every dollar we raise between now and May 15, 2019 will be matched, up to a maximum of $70,000.

Your generous gift will enable MVA to continue equipping young minds with the knowledge of God's great universe that is needed for careers in service to Him and to others.
  • The renewal will include New lab tables, sinks, faucets and gas supplies
  • New equipment
  • New cabinetry storage
  • Safer chemical storage
  • Adding a full safety shower in case of contact with dangerous chemicals
  •  A new counter and deep sink will be added near the shower
  • LED lighting, which will be brighter and more cost-efficient
  • A new exhaust fan
  • New flooring to cover the existing asbestos tiles
  • Replacement of asbestos tiles in the ceiling
