We encourage our students to go beyond basic learning by forming their own thoughts and opinions through the study and research of facts and evidence. Each student is given a firm foundation to build upon through required areas of study and extra curricular classes. We offer Advanced Placement classes and Honors classes for our advanced students.
We want every student to be successful. MVA focuses on a mainstream college preparatory where academics are of the highest priority. We balance our curriculum in a positive Christian atmosphere. Read about The Outstanding WASC Evaluation!
Our graduation requirements include a broad spectrum of subject areas in practical arts, fine arts, music, computer applications, religious studies, work experience/community service, health education, and economics.
Our student success is our business. An outstanding 95% and more of our students each year will further their eduction in colleges and universities to assist them in reaching their future goals. Last year 100% of our 2005 graduates went on to college.
Founded in 1922, Mountain View Academy is owned and operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. This Christian denomination's education system is the second largest parochial system in the world. Mountain View Academy seeks to meet the needs of all parents regardless of religious affiliation who desire an ideal Christian educational experience for their children.

Students
One of the reasons our school and our students are so successful is due to MVA's size. We currently have 150 students enrolled at MVA. Our school's student body is a mix of ethnic diversity including caucasian, Asian, Hispanic, African American, Filipino, East Indian, and more. Our students commute daily from all over the bay area. MVA issues I-20 immigration documents for foreign students who make up about 10% of our students. Each student is prayed for and personally acknowledged as a gift from God. We strive that they might all be taught of God and His love for each one.
Class Schedule
We personally assist students with preparation of their schedule. From their Freshman to their Senior year, each student receives personal attention and college bound advice from caring and informed teachers and staff.
