Dear Parents and Legal Guardians:
After more than a day on the road we have finally arrived in Paraguay. Our trip was long and tiresome but God blessed us. Everyone is safe and happy. (But very very tired)
We just got to the school so it will take us some time to get settled in. I will be sending an e-mail with the phone number for those who purchased phones.
Please continue to pray for the success of our trip.
Sincerely
Pastor Moises Guerrero
Dear Parents and Legal guardians:
Greetings!
It is 5:43 PM and we have accommodated everyone in their rooms. This will truly be a mission trip experience for our students.
I would want to remind all of you that during our last informational meeting I gave you a number to call me in case of an emergency. Feel free to call me at any time. Paraguay has made an hour change and we are only 3 hours ahead of you, same time as the east coast.
I forgot to say, please call after 7 as we will be going to Vespers for the next 3.5 hours

Dear Parents and Legal Guardians:
Greetings!
What a wonderful Sabbath we are having! As it was expected the kids had a hard time waking up this morning. After breakfast we went to Sabbath School and then church.
For Church the school had prepared a nice "cold" welcome (its so hot they did not want to give us a warm welcome). A retired Japanese pastor preached in English and I translated his sermon.
After Church we ate lunch and celebrated a very special birthday, Raul and Daniel Alba turned 18 today. We had a cake for them and the whole school sang Happy Birthday in English, Spanish, Japanese (big community here) and Guarani (local language).
In the afternoon the kids participated in a special activity prepared for them, a walk in the forest to go see Monkeys and Tucans (beautiful birds) Unfortunately, due the size of the group and the noise the made no Monkeys were seen. In any case the kids had a great time.
Tonight after supper we will have a social where there will be different kinds of games.
Tomorrow we will being work. There will be 4 different projects going on at the same time.
Our ¨"pharmacy" and our "clinic" are up and running.
Please continue to pray for the success of our trip. I will have to change my number tonight and I will send you the number.
Please continue to pray for the success of our trip.
Thank you,
Pastor Moises Guerrero

Dear Parents:
Greetings!
This morning our students had a hard time waking up, however, by 7:50AM everyone was up and ready to go to breakfast, right after that we had our morning worship.
Work began this morning after the usual chaos that goes with getting everyone in their right place. It is a very hot day today. We have made sure that there is plenty of water in all work stations.
The kids are building a house, painting , doing a sidewalk and fixing the fence. There is plenty of work to go around. We will work until about 4PM. After work today, the kids will have the option of going to the very small swimming pool (4 feet deep) or just sleeping and resting.
I think that all the phones are now working, if for some reason you have not been able to speak to your child, please let me know and will make sure that the phone is in working order.
Please continue to pray for the success of our trip.
Sincerely,
Pastor Moises Guerrero

Dear Parents and Legal Guardians:
Greetings!
Today we completed our first full day of work. After a somewhat chaotic start, the kids began to work. They were divided up in 4 different group with 4 kids assigned to water duties. The work was ardous but the kids worked very hard. You have got to be very proud of your children.
The temperature today was 101 degrees, so we made sure that the kids had plenty of water to drink as well as schedule brakes every so often. At supper time (7 PM) all kids were tired but healthy.
We were able to get the walls of the house we are building almost at half, the first house has been completely painted and the cement beams for the fence have been set on place.
What I thought was going to be the easiest part of the project was doing the sidewalk, but that has been one of the hardest.
As it is our rule and tradition the kids are being well fed and our cooks Jose and Elizabeth are doing a great job (My parents were not able to join us this year).
This evening we had more games (basketball is very popular here) I thought that our kids would not participate as much since they were tired, but they did (the strength of the young). Bed time was 10 PM. Tomorrow the schedule will be same as today. So that you have an idea of how our day goes:
Wake up time 7 AM
Breakfast 7:45
Worship 8:30
Work 8:45-1: 00PM
Lunch 1:15-2:00PM
Work 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM
The principal at the school here has suggested that the kids take a break until about 3PM so that they can work from about 3:15 to about 5:30 we will see how that works tomorrow.
We praise God that so far except for the usual fatigue for the heat, we have not had any students getting sick, and we pray that will be the case for the rest of the week. Please continue to pray for us and the success of our trip. A good night to all of you.
Sincerely,
Pastor Moises Guerrero

Dear Parents and Legal Guardians:
Its 11:23 PM and another day is done. Mission are like high school, the first two years you think it will never end, but then you realize how quickly it goes by.
After tomorrow we will only have two full days of work. Today the work was intense. There are four different groups and they are all doing very well.
Kudos to Ms. Hicks and Ms. McConnell, they got two houses fully painted.
What an amazing evening programs the kids had tonight. There was a presentation from the local kids about the traditional dances and music of Paraguay as well as a local Japanese drum company. The Kids had a blast and the program was a real blessing.
After careful study of an idea submitted by the school principal, we have decided to change our plans. We will not longer be going to the Iguazu
Falls on Friday, instead we will go on Thursday, that will give us more time to enjoy such a wonderful place. We will finish our work at school on Friday
I have been very encourage to see our kids mingling and socializing with the local students. Also our kids are learning the value of hard work and some are doing their laundry by hand. I have made sure that we have pictures to prove it.
We appreciate your prayers and we thank God for his care for us.
Sincerely,
Pastor Moises Guerrero trips
